This is my first piece of the semester. I named it Confidnece. I enjoyed the process more than the ending solution. The colors were done with a hair comb that I just happen to have in my purse one day. i liked the texture it gave and went for it. I used red blue and yellow just to get me started and along the way they mixed. I wouldn't mind doing some other things to this or doing things a little differently.
This to me reminds me of a windy fall day because of the color and the motion in the picture. It's a little bit hard to read the words on there though, and I can't tell what is your focus point. Because this is an experimental though, I can understand you were just trying new things that you will later be able to use.
ReplyDeleteNow that I see this piece online, I think that you really should have done more with the comb to fill in those white empty spaces. I'm surprised how it kind of looks different online than in person. I realize now that it IS hard to read, probably because the whole piece has a lot of motion in it. But I love how your experiment with the comb turned out to be a success!
ReplyDeleteI like how you used the coomb effect on this but I was confused on what the words were. It looks empty on the left side of the painting, so I think that you should've added something to fill in that emptiness on that side.
